Community Services
The youngest among its counterparts, the Community Services branch aims to engage the Harvard community in increasing awareness of humanitarian issues and services addressed by the American Red Cross. In doing so, it hopes to instill within members the spirit of volunteerism that will carry beyond these brick walls, into the Boston-Cambridge community and across the nation, perhaps even the globe.
Concrete manifestations of our goals currently include implementing a basic aid training workshop for students in local after school programs, engaging fully with the American Red Cross Massachusetts Region, as well as working with the International Humanitarian Law Action Campaign to raise awareness for recurring themes arising from armed conflicts. More opportunities to volunteer and get involved to come.
Help us pass on the gift of giving!
