Our Mission
The Harvard College Friends of the Red Cross strives to facilitate humanitarian services offered by the American Red Cross to better serve the university and our community. Our volunteer opportunities and blood drives allow students to give back to the community, while our First Aid/CPR/AED trainings help promote emergency preparedness. Through the generosity of both volunteers and donors, we hope to improve both campus and community well-being.
Who We Are
The Harvard College Friends of the Red Cross is a volunteer organization that provides undergraduates with the opportunity to learn about the humanitarian services offered by the American Red Cross and become directly involved in these efforts. We organize on-campus blood drives, First Aid/CPR/AED courses, community and campus awareness events, and fundraisers for disaster relief efforts. Our blood drives attract donors and volunteers from all sectors of the university. Our training classes are for undergraduates and faculty members, and are intended to improve and promote emergency preparedness. We are also working on developing and expanding an afterschool program to instruct children in first aid and disaster basics.
