The Harvard College Friends of the Red Cross regularly offers accessible and affordable First Aid/CPR/AED trainings to the College community. We strive to increase Harvard’s emergency preparedness, making the campus a safer place.

Upcoming Harvard Trainings
Harvard Red Cross is holding a training for members of the Harvard community on date TBA (Check Back Soon!) in the Parlor Room of the Phillips Brooks House. Sign up by TBA (Check Back Soon!) at this link to reserve your spot!

The training will cover how to perform CPR, use an AED, and give basic first aid. The certification you will receive lasts two years.
Attendance at the class will cost $30 to cover training supplies and the certification.

How do I sign up for a class?

How do I receive updates on upcoming trainings?
Subscribe to our email list on the Sign Up for Training Updates page. Once on the list, you will receive information about upcoming classes you can sign up for.
How are spots for training classes assigned?
Spots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be no running waiting list between events.
How long do trainings take? Can I leave early / arrive late?
First Aid/CPR/AED classes take between 3 and 5 hours. Participants must stay for the entire duration of the class in order to be certified.
When are classes offered? How often are classes offered?
Classes are usually offered on weekends on a bimonthly basis. Each training event will certify up to 20 students in CPR, AED usage, and/or basic First Aid.
How much do trainings cost?
Since our volunteer instructors teach for free, we only charge $30 per participant to cover the cost of the certificate and supplies. This is an amazing deal compared with trainings offered at the local Red Cross chapter that cost around $90-100.
When will I get my certificate?
We will send you your certificate within two weeks of the event. Certificates will be sent by email to the address you specify.
Oops. I can no longer make the training. What do I do?
Notify us immediately and at least 48 hours in advance that you can no longer attend the training.
